PalinMcBush takes the Bait

Obama has successfully baited John McCain into showing us what he is really made of, and the results are disgusting.

http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2008/09/mccains-integri.html

Obama has manipulated the manipulators. Unfortunately this brilliance is lost on most voters.

If the happily manipulated voting public wakes up in time, it will be attributed to this growing contrast of character that Andrew paints. When you can't possibly make an informed decision anymore based on heavily obscured and debated voting records or past deeds, watch and listen to how these two men run their campaigns. The juxtaposition is startling. The choice is clear.

i agree that obama knew exactly what he was doing when he used the pig with lipstick reference and i am not surprised that the mccain camp fell/went for it... however i don't think the obama camp is any better. they all suck and they are all the same. it actually used to be funny watching and reading all this political crap, now i'm finding it disturbing. grown men and women are going after each other like my 6 and 2 year old. it seems to get worse each election. i just hope whichever idiot gets elected my life won't change too much.

So are you admitting that he was making a comment about Palin being a pig? Obama claims he didn't intend any correlation with Palin personally. So which is it?
I guess the author of the OpEd sees it otherwise? What's worse; name calling or "baiting" as you claim, or calling someone out for using low brow language?
I fail to see how the author can claim McCain to be low class, when Obama was the offending one...Does he expect McCain to sit around and not respond to childish commentary? The author claims to have admired McCain previously. He should have known the guy doesn't back down from a fight.
FYI
Stop getting your politics from OpEds!

What I observe Obama did with the lipstick comment was akin to a kid whapping a bee hive with a big stick.

"Hey guys, watch what happens when I do this."

The guy is doing what he has to do in order to grab a daily shot of the media spotlight. It is petty and beneath most of us, but that is the kind of game that PalinMcRove chose to play.

Unfortunately it appears that Repuglicans still write the rules on how to win elections. We don't have a white guy from the South this time to dispute the rules. It's true that Obama is kind of knocked off his feet right now, and it isn't becoming.

Reading Op columns by thinking liberals is like getting a hug when times are tough. I get my politics from the street..... dog.

Kerry, by joining in the name calling you are admitting that you are right there in the midst of it. Obviously it's not petty and beneath you.

If you are going to criticize others you shouldn't engage in the same thing.

I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say McCain and Palin started the game of "name calling". Do you have examples? Thus far, I'm only aware of the Democrats opening their big mouths and inserting their feet. The Democrats are on self-destruct mode right now.
At least you're honest that misery loves company, and you need some moral support.
Just an observation. If Obama and his crack pot team of advisors can't handle this election "game", do you really want him handling the country?
